    B49H high pressure high temperature glass tube level indicator is a two-color liquid level meter suitable for high temperature and high pressure environment.When the liquid level meter is displayed, the gas and liquid can be divided into two distinct red and green colors, and the interface of the two colors is the position of the liquid level. The observation is very intuitive, and there will be no phenomenon that the vapor in the glass tube will affect the observation results.The valve connecting the container of this level gauge is made of stainless steel or no. 20 steel,It has good mechanical properties of high temperature, high pressure and rust resistance. Quartz glass tube can also be observed normally under high temperature and high pressure.The valve connecting the liquid level gauge to the container is equipped with a self-sealing stainless steel ball. When the glass tube is damaged by accident, the steel ball will be self-sealing to prevent the safety accident of medium spillage and loss of pressure of the container.This type of level gauge is widely used in boiler and other high temperature and high pressure environment of liquid level observation, with high safety factor, easy installation and maintenance, simple maintenance, clear and intuitive measurement results, high temperature and high pressure resistance, with a certain corrosion resistance and other characteristics.
     B49H two-color quartz tube level gauge with lamp is specially designed and manufactured for boiler water level gauge measurement.This level gauge is a two-color water level gauge designed based on the principle of light refraction.The level gauge has a red and green light source. When the level gauge is installed on the boiler, water and steam flow into the level gauge through the connecting pipe.According to the principle of light refraction will show that steam is red, water is green results, the red and green interface in the level gauge is the boiler level, red and green display observation intuitive convenience.

Installation Precautions for B49H high pressure high temperature glass tube level indicator

1. Pre-installation Inspection

Check the quartz tube for cracks, scratches, blurring or color fading before installation; reject damaged tubes directly.
Verify the model, nominal pressure, center distance and flange size match the vessel interface.
Inspect the gauge cocks, gaskets, valve bodies and self-sealing steel balls for rust, deformation or blockage.
Confirm the colored marking side of the quartz tube faces outward toward operators for clear red-green liquid-vapor separation.

2. Mounting Position Requirements

Install vertically strictly, deviation shall not exceed ±3°. Inclined installation will distort the liquid level boundary and cause misreading.
Reserve sufficient operating space in front of the gauge for daily observation, flushing and glass replacement. Avoid blocking by pipes, brackets or equipment frames.
Keep away from strong heat sources, direct flame and severe vibration areas to prevent thermal damage and tube fracture.
For outdoor installation, add sunshade and rain protection covers to avoid long-term ultraviolet aging of quartz.

3. Welding & Connection Rules

When welding the connecting flanges on the tank, remove the whole level gauge first. Do not weld with the quartz tube assembled; high welding temperature will crack the quartz and damage the color coating.
Clean welding slag, rust and scale inside the connecting pipe thoroughly before assembly to prevent foreign matter from scratching the tube or blocking the channel.
Use complete, intact PTFE or graphite composite gaskets; do not use broken, aged or multiple stacked gaskets to avoid leakage.
Tighten flange bolts diagonally and evenly in several passes, not fully tightened at one time. Excessive unilateral force will crush the quartz tube.

4. Cock Valve Assembly

Install upper steam cock and lower water cock in strict accordance with marks, drain nozzle facing downward for convenient blowdown.
Ensure the self-sealing steel ball inside each cock moves freely without jamming; blocked balls lose emergency anti-spray protection.
Rotate the cock handle several times after installation to confirm flexible opening and closing without sticking.

5. Pipeline & Vent Treatment

The connecting pipe between vessel and level gauge shall have no upward air pockets; layout to avoid dead zones where gas accumulates, otherwise false liquid level will appear.
After installation, fully open the drain cock to exhaust air inside the tube completely before putting into service. Air bubbles will blur the color dividing line.
Shorten the connecting pipeline as much as possible; overly long pipes cause delayed liquid level response.

6. Commissioning & Warm-up Operation

Do not open steam/water cocks fully at once after installation. Open slightly to preheat the quartz tube slowly to eliminate temperature difference and prevent thermal cracking.
Observe for steam or water leakage at flanges and valve stems during preheating; tighten bolts slightly if seepage occurs after cooling down.
Check the color display effect after stable operation: the liquid section shows green, the gas section shows red with a sharp dividing line. If the color contrast is weak, recheck the tube installation direction and exhaust air thoroughly.

7. Safety Protection Installation

Install the matched metal protective cover outside the quartz tube to prevent collision, impact and splashing hazards if the tube breaks. Do not run equipment without the protective cover.
Do not install sharp metal parts within the observation range to avoid scratching the quartz surface and destroying the color coating.

8. Cold Climate Special Notes

Add heat tracing and thermal insulation layers for outdoor low-temperature environments to prevent medium freezing inside the tube leading to tube rupture.
Drain all residual medium completely if the equipment is shut down for a long time in winter.
Prohibited Operations
Do not strike or squeeze the quartz tube during installation.
Do not apply excessive torque when tightening flanges and valve joints.
Do not install the quartz tube backward (color marking inward).
Do not perform hot work welding with the level gauge assembled.
Do not use damaged, cracked or faded colored quartz tubes.
Short Version for Installation Manual
Install the colored quartz glass tube level gauge vertically with the colored side facing operators. Remove the gauge before welding vessel flanges, tighten bolts evenly diagonally with intact gaskets. Slow preheating is required before official operation to avoid thermal shock cracking. Install protective covers and exhaust trapped air completely to guarantee clear red-green liquid level display, and keep away from heat sources and strong vibration.
