It is a mechanical float level controller with spring push-to-test handle, horizontally installed on tank side flange. The buoy drives internal micro switch to output on/off signals for high/low level alarm and pump interlock. Press down the spring-loaded ball handle to simulate float action for on-site test; spring rebounds automatically after release. No tank draining required during inspection. Widely used for marine tanks, oil & chemical tanks, boiler water tanks and water treatment systems for liquid level monitoring, overflow prevention and pump dry-run protection.

Product Description

This is a flange side-mounted Float Level Switch equipped with a spring push-to-test handle. The buoy drives the built-in micro switch to output on/off signals. Its distinctive spring-loaded ball handle can be pressed down to simulate the float action for on-site inspection and alarm reset.

Core Application Industries

1. Marine Industry (Typical Application)

Marine engine room oil tanks, fresh water tanks, sewage tanks, lube oil tanks and fuel oil tanks. Function: High-level overflow alarm and low-level oil/water shortage protection. Operators can press the handle to test the liquid level alarm circuit on site without draining the tank medium, simplifying marine maintenance.

2. Petrochemical Industry

Storage tanks, buffer tanks and separation tanks for media such as diesel oil, lubricating oil, ethylene glycol and clean water without strong corrosion. Explosion-proof version is available for flammable and explosive tank areas to realize high/low liquid level interlock for pump start-stop and audible & visual alarm.

3. Power & Boiler Industry

Boiler water tanks, condensate tanks, lube oil tanks and circulating water storage tanks. It provides overflow protection for water tanks and anti-dry-run interlock protection for pumps at low liquid level. The alarm circuit can be verified on site by pressing the handle.

4. Environmental Water Treatment

Sewage tanks, reclaimed water tanks and chemical dosing tanks. It monitors high and low liquid levels to control the start and stop of drain pumps and feed pumps.

5. Food & Pharmaceutical Industry

Pure water tanks and cleaning solution storage tanks (SUS316L stainless steel material option) for liquid level monitoring of clean fluids.

Functions

1. Liquid level interlock control: When the liquid level reaches the preset high or low point, the switch contacts act to automatically start or stop the feed/discharge pump.
2. High & low liquid level alarm: Trigger audible and visual alarms to warn of overflow or emptying risks.
3. Spring push-type manual self-test and reset (unique feature): There is no need to empty the storage tank. Press down the top black handle; the spring drives the mechanism to simulate the float and trigger liquid level signals. The spring rebounds automatically after release. It can be used to verify the normal operation of the alarm circuit on site. It also supports switch state reset after alarm activation for convenient inspection.
4. Pump protection: Low liquid level signal interlocks to stop the pump and prevent burnout caused by dry running.

Media Compatibility

Applicable media: Clean water, sewage, fuel oil, lubricating oil, light oil and neutral chemical liquids. Material options: SUS304 / SUS316L. ⚠️ Not applicable for strong corrosive acid/alkali, high-viscosity media prone to adhesion and viscous caking media (may jam the float).

Installation Features

Horizontal side mounting via flange on the tank wall. No penetration from tank top. Suitable for both pressure vessels and atmospheric open tanks.
