Stainless Steel Floater Round Magnetic Floating Ball are ideal for use under higher pressure and at correspondingly high temperatures in water or corrosive liquids. The high strength of stainless steel provides an extremely versatile and durable round float balls. We offer many diameters and wall thicknesses to suit your needs.

All spherical or oblong floats are built by welding two shells together. The welding process is critical for the strength and durability of the float. xukang has developed a weld that provides a smoothly finished seam, hardly distinguishable from the rest of the float surface. The weld is uniformly strong and ductile.

Material, Temperature & Pressure Selection Guide for Magnetic Floats (Magnetic Buoys)

1. Common Float Materials & Parameter Range

(1) 304 Stainless Steel Float

  • Temperature: -20 ~ 200 ℃
  • Pressure: PN16 / PN25 / PN40
  • Medium: Clean water, light oil, low-corrosion neutral liquids
  • Feature: Low cost, standard general model

(2) 316L Stainless Steel Float

  • Temperature: -30 ~ 250 ℃
  • Pressure: PN16 ~ PN100
  • Medium: Weak acid, weak alkali, chemical solvent, sewage
  • Feature: Better corrosion resistance than 304

(3) Titanium Alloy Float

  • Temperature: -40 ~ 300 ℃
  • Pressure: PN25 ~ PN160 (ultra-high pressure)
  • Medium: Strong oxidizing acid, brine, chloride medium
  • Feature: Excellent anti-corrosion, for severe chemical working conditions

(4) PTFE Lined Float / All-PTFE Float

  • Temperature: -20 ~ 180 ℃
  • Pressure: PN10 ~ PN25
  • Medium: Strong acid, strong alkali, highly corrosive chemicals
  • Limitation: Cannot bear ultra-high pressure; easy deformation above 180℃

(5) High-Temp Alloy (Hastelloy/C276) Float

  • Temperature: -40 ~ 350 ℃
  • Pressure: PN40 ~ PN160
  • Medium: Strong corrosive high-temperature medium, hydrogenation reactor
  • Feature: Super high temp & corrosion resistance for petrochemical high-pressure reactors

2. Temperature Selection Rules

  1. Medium temperature ≤200℃: Choose 304 / 316L standard float
  2. 200~300℃ high temp oil, steam: 316L or titanium float
  3. 300~350℃ ultra-high temp reactor: Hastelloy alloy float
  4. Strong corrosive high temp medium: PTFE lined 316L float (≤180℃)

3. Pressure Selection Rules

  1. Normal pressure tank (PN10/PN16): 304/316L thin-wall float
  2. High-pressure boiler, hydrogenation equipment (PN40~PN100): Thick-wall 316L / titanium float
  3. Ultra-high pressure synthesis vessel (PN160+): Solid thick-wall Hastelloy or titanium float
  4. PTFE float only for low pressure ≤PN25, forbidden for high pressure

4. Quick Selection Logic

  1. Confirm medium corrosivity → pick float material first
  2. Confirm medium working temperature → filter temp-resistant grade
  3. Confirm system nominal pressure → select wall thickness & pressure rating
  4. Special working condition (cryogenic, easy crystallization, viscous) match customized density float
