The Stainless Steel Welded Pressure vessel Sight Glass is designed to be welded directly onto a tank or other liquid-containing vessel, and allows visual observation of level, color, or clarity of a liquid in a vessel or tank at a low initial cost.
Standard Welding Flange Sight Window units are furnished with a flat bottom. Upon request, the unit can be machined with a cylindrical radius to match the contour of the vessel. The Sight Glass are available in single or multiple section types.
Our oblong units are designed for pressures up to 150psi and temperatures up to 450°F, and various materials of construction are available to meet your process needs.

Application:
For viewing the internals of pipelines, containers, pressure ves-sels, reactors, silos etc. used principally as a liquid level indicator.

Weld‑on Circular Vessel Sight Glass

Weld‑on circular vessel sight glass is directly welded onto vessel walls for real‑time visual inspection of internal medium status, reaction, liquid level and foam condition.
Typical equipment for application

‑ Chemical & petrochemical reactors, pressure vessels

‑ Mixing tanks, storage tanks, agitators

‑ Dryers, separators, evaporators

‑ Pharmaceutical processing vessels

‑ Food & beverage reaction tanks

‑ Silos and other process containers

Pressure & temperature rating (standard borosilicate glass DIN7080)

‑ Working pressure: 0.6‑1.6 MPa (6‑16 bar), pressure drops as sight glass diameter increases; high‑pressure customized version is available

‑ Working temperature:‑20 ℃ ~ +280 ℃. With mica protection sheet, short‑term temperature can reach 300 ℃. Quartz glass for special high‑temperature service up to 900 ℃.

Notes

Actual pressure‑temperature performance depends on glass thickness, gasket material, flange material and size. Larger viewing diameter brings lower allowable working pressure.
