Mechanical Float Board Level Indicator and board level gauge/indicator For the measurement of level of fluids at various industrial applications level indicators are used. These devices are used to determine the level of liquid in tanks, drums. Pressure vessels etc.

For needs of different applications there are many level indicators to suit the purpose. In highly commercial industries normally, fluids are used in many forms. In absence of proper devices, it will be very difficult to find the quantity and level of fluid stored in a vessel/container etc. In many situations where the nature of fluid is dangerous or sometimes the place it is manually impossible to find the level in which the liquid is stored because the nature of the material, then the level indicators are of utmost importance.

Mechanical Float Board Level Indicator (Mechanical Tank Water Level Indicator)

Working Principle

A stainless steel float inside the tank rises and falls following liquid level changes. The mechanical linkage transfers motion out of the tank, driving the indicator slider to move along the graduated scale, directly showing real-time liquid level height.

Limitations

  • Only local display, no standard remote signal output by default
  • Not suitable for highly viscous, easily crystallized media that may block float movement
  • Measurement accuracy will drop under severe tank vibration conditions

Installation Steps

  1. Mount the flange assembly firmly on the top or side reserved opening of the tank, ensure sealing to avoid leakage.
  2. Lower the float body into the tank interior, connect and fix the external connecting pipe and rocker arm linkage structure.
  3. Install the graduated scale vertically on the outer tank wall, adjust the indicator slider to align with the actual initial liquid level.
  4. Check that the rocker linkage moves flexibly without jamming, verify the slider can follow float lifting and dropping smoothly.
  5. Tighten all fasteners, do a liquid level rise/fall test to confirm scale reading matches real tank level.
